Celebrate Family Fun Month at Lake of the Ozarks

August is family fun month! Before the kids go back to school make plans to get out and have some fun. No matter whether you live at Lake of the Ozarks full time or you are vacationing here, there is plenty to do with the family. A Day on the Water

We are at Lake of the Ozarks, so spend some time on the Lake. If you don’t have a boat, there are plenty of boat rentals business around the Lake. You can spend hours on the water having fun. From tubing to fishing, swimming, and waterfront dining, fun will be had by all!

Miner Mikes 

If you are looking for some indoor fun with the kids. They will love Miner Mikes with 50,000 square feet of fun. Here you will find arcade games, exciting rides, and a maze that the kids will spend hours in.

Big Surf Waterpark

Big Surf is the Lake areas only outdoor waterpark. From the lazy river, wave pool and some amazing water slides there is enough here for the whole family to enjoy. Plan to spend all day at Big Surf? No worries, they have the Surfside Grill that will keep you hydrated and serving some fantastic food.

Bridal Cave

Who said having fun can’t be educational? Bridal Cave is a great example. This fantastic kid-friendly attraction here at Lake of the Ozarks will leave the whole family amazed. Enjoy guided tours through the cave on concrete pathways. No matter the weather, Bridal Cave is always 60 degrees inside, this is a great family activity.

Ha Ha Tonka State Park

After touring Bridal Cave take a short drive to Ha Ha Tonka State Park. This park features sinkholes, caves, a natural bridge, scenic bluffs, and Missouri’s 12th largest spring. Perhaps the most intriguing part of the park is the castle ruins. Plan your trip now and learn all about the history of the Ha Ha Tonka castle.

LeMans Family Fun Park

The name says it all! Your family will undoubtedly have fun here. Here you will have go-karts, bumper boats, and miniature golf all in one place. Opening in 1965, LeMans is the Lake’s original go-kart track and is home to the Lake’s only slick track.
